Heavy Meddle 1956 Ford F100 Australia

Yes, folks, I'm back again with another F100 project! Can't wait to get stuck in! Hope you follow along if only for the laughs! Yes, that's right! We've got ourselves another truck to work on. It's a 1956 F100 and I can tell you it is gonna take a TON of work to get her up and running. So, as I used to say (and still do) stick around...things could get ugly!

Goulburn Car and Motorcycle Show 2022 five minute review

Folks, what a fantastic day this turned out to be and what a great cause to support (PCYC Rise up for youth program). Not to mention getting a little bit more exposure for Wakefield Park which has currently lodged an appeal against an EPA ruling that effectively forces Wakefield Park to limit its driving days. (Wakefield Park, for those who don't know, is one of only two full time driving tracks in NSW. The other being Eastern Creek in Sydney, and thanks to the whingeing sooks who complained about the noise, the park is now currently closed for racing.) I am not a racing driver but I am a big fan of Wakefield Park and certainly throw my support and goodwill towards those who are fighting tooth and nail to get the park up and running once again. I cannot believe a grovelling few can ruin the enjoyment and livelihood of so many, and not only that, Wakefield Park attracts many many visitors to Goulburn, and, by shutting the park down, many other are indirectly affected.

Anyway, on with the show! And what a show!

The weather was great, if not, finally, a little warm. Glad I brought my cap. My wife chose not to bring hers and consequently, we couldn't stay out in the weather for long and had to make it a very short visit.  The good news is, I did manage to take a few snaps while we were there and here they are for you to browse over. The pic for me was a toss up between the gorgeous purple Ford Mercury and that stunningly beautiful Chevy truck in gobsmacking blue!

Throwing it out there! I'm saying it's a 1929 Buick? Could be wrong. Beautiful car.

A crackingly nice Whippet!

Two very neat Holdens from the 1970's. So, good they deserved a photo each.

All sorts of vehicles were on display! Here's a Corvette. I have no idea of the year model. At a guess 2006?
Beautiful Oldsmobile Cutlass. Immaculate! I am guessing a 1968 model?

Very neat Valiant Charger and in the background an equally stunning Holden Monaro (obscured)

Very neat ride, this one

Great from any angle!

I'll be honest and tell you I had NO idea what this car was. I am guessing it is a 1938 Graham, because it had Graham written on the chrome trim at the front and also the number plates. Then again, it could have been the name of the owner and his year of birth etc.

Graham from the rear. I've gotta say, it aint the purdiest car I have ever seen. According to some internet sources such as this excellent one https://www.motorcities.org/story-of-the-week/2017/the-1938-graham-was-as-stylish-as-it-was-radical it wasn't well received, either.
Very nice EH sedan with deep, rich duco. What a great cruiser!

Beautiful Corvette. This style never dates.
Hard to Dodge this one in that bright livery! Looked great!
What about this for a nice interior! Nice colour co-ordination as well. Those seats looked super comfy.

Saw a lot of interest in this one. Quite a few people cracked a woody over this, I reckon. Personally, I am not a big fan of wood. Wood is for pergolas. But I've gotta say, this was a quality ride! Even had a matching surfboard mascot on the radiator support!
Pure class!
Talk about eye candy! That model T in the background was just as stunning!
Apologies to the guy I totally hammered in this shot. He did make an effort to get out of the way, but it is what it is.
Hands up who doesn't like a beautiful '55 Ford F100? See? No hands!
Sigh! Someday I'm gonna get our truck running and looking just like this one.

It's no secret I love the Chevies as much as the Fords, and with Chev's like this one, who could say otherwise? Love how that rear fender curves down over the wheel like a teardrop. Just beautiful styling.
Gotta say, I am not a massive fan of the toothy grille and that combo over vertical and horizontal bars. But, hell, I wouldn't be knocking her back.

Have a gander at this engine. Fascinating!
I could stare at these coupe's all day.

The picture didn't do this stunning car justice! The ultimate leadsled. Low and mean and chopped and lovin' it.
Pure class! Funny mural on the grille of some bald fat guy taking a picture. Actually, looks a bit like he's taking a crap.

Mesmerizing metallic paint or was it a foil wrap? Dunno. Looked amazing.

Doing some bench seat chopping! Hold onto yer hats!

Well, after over a year, I finally turned my attention to the Dodge bench seat that I purchased for the truck. I never really felt it was a...
